Coconut Flower Beer is carefully crafted with the rare and exclusive mother ingredient, Coconut Flower Drops and double fermented. It is in effect a work of art from recipe, to brewing, to branding, all the way to customer experience.

The most important ingredient of Coconut Flower Beer is the Coconut Flower Drops (CFD), hence we call it the mother ingredient. It is the precious nectar or sap that naturally drips from the flowers of the coconut tree. CFD is the most heavenly tasting, 100% natural healthy essence created by Mother Nature. It is collected by highly skilled farmers, who go out before sunrise to tap it from unopened inflorescences high up in coconut trees. CFD is known as the ancient health giver and ayurvedic elixir, that is highly nutritional and rich in antioxidant.

The minimal foam in Coconut Flower Beer is due to the mother ingredient, Coconut Flower Drops, which suppress the foaming action in beer. This also makes our beer less likely to cause bloating than other brands. Our focus group found unanimously that Coconut Flower Beer does not cause an uncomfortable, bloated feeling. Sedimentation in Coconut Flower Beer is natural, as it results from the secondary fermentation with Coconut Flower Drops. Reducing the sedimentation would require a harsh filtration which could affect the quality of the beer. We decided to retain the sedimentation, to retain the drink’s purity and freshness. Enjoying Coconut Flower Beer with sedimentation is part of the experience, as the live culture from the mother ingredient enhances the taste. Our research shows that while in the past many preferred crystal-clear beverages, this perception is changing due to a new-found appreciation of raw, authentic and unrefined plant-based natural beverages.

Coconut Flower Beer is brewed using lager yeast and carefully crafted in two stages of fermentation, which means it takes around eight weeks to produce. Primary fermentation uses conventional lager ingredients: malted barley, oats, hops and water. Secondary fermentation sees the addition of the magical Coconut flower Drops, with their beneficial live cultures which make the drink so fascinating! Our beer is brewed and bottled in Hereford, UK by our head brewer, who has more than 20 years’ experience.

Our pricing is influenced by many factors, but particularly by the high production cost of our mother ingredient Coconut Flower Drops, the double fermentation method, our commitment to using sustainable packaging, and our pledge to support our farmers and artisans by paying ethical wages above the income standards. Why are Coconut Flower Drops costly? Because the nectar has to be tapped at the top of the coconut tree before sunrise, which is both challenging and risky – there are few who are skilled enough and their insurance is understandably high. The drops have to be collected and stored in specially designed chilled containers, transported to a custom-built plant, and maintained in end-to-end cold chain logistics.

Typically, bottle caps are too small to be identified within the sorting machines at recycling facilities, so off to the landfill they go! However, our Ring cap offers a solution to this dilemma. The intricate details of our mandala reflect the shapes of palm trees with flowers and drops. We chose mandala art because mandalas have long been used as tools for meditation, mindfulness, and healing. They assist with balance, bring peace and tranquility, and simply gazing at a mandala will give you a feeling of calmness. A part of the mandala is depicted on our Coconut Flower Beer bottle, and the entire mandala is featured on a colouring sheet. This enhances the mindful drinking experience

Copper, also known as Tamra in Ayurveda, is a nutrient well known for its anti-microbial and healing properties. It is a trace mineral that plays a key role in the formation of red blood cells as well as the healthy functioning of muscles. We wish we could bottle our beer in a real copper bottle, to reflect the luxury of our mother ingredient, but that is not practical. Hence, we decided to have copper toned matt and gloss finish aluminium bottles.

It should be stored cold and consumed chilled and fresh. We recommend our beer is stored at 4 to 7˚C. Cheers!
