2021 has left us with some great memories as well as challenging and difficult moments. We set up our business Neitiv in 2019 after a year of R&D work but Brexit, COVID and limited resources delayed our product launch. We started trading in March 2021 and things got very busy, very quickly. Working up to 15-18 hours most days and not even having weekends to rest, we worked extremely hard. Phew…😥
To no surprise our Coconut Flower Beer brewed with Coconut Flower Drops was recognised as a niche ethical product. Our products create opportunities for small farmers in rural Kerala and Tamil Nadu in India as well as Thailand and Vietnam. We plan to expand our source to Indonesia this year by providing technical support and business knowledge to produce our unique ingredient, Coconut Flower Drops.
We are extremely happy to be acknowledged for our work; Vaani, was recognised as one of the top 50 BAME entrepreneurs in the UK and our company was selected as an innovative Food Tech startup for the Land & Launch programme in Singapore. We also won our first Vegan award in 2021🎉.
We’d like to thank all of you good people out there because none of these would have been possible without your constant motivation and support.
We'd also like to thank some of the amazing governmental and business organisations for their support and guidance throughout our journey so far. High on the list are Department of International Trade, British Chamber of Commerce Singapore, Thai Embassy in the UK, British High Commission in China, Chinese British Business Council, GROW Singapore, Innovate UK, Business West and SWLEP.
2022 is going to be another interesting year as we begin with our appearance on BBC Dragons' Den this month and our products become available in more stores/restaurants across the UK and on major online retail platforms. We also plan to visit Singapore for our product launch in the island nation. We are actively working towards making our beer available in China and hope to start exporting in summer 2022. We will be launching an ambitious project called The Red Dot 🔴 in March, a project to fight period poverty by providing free sanitary products to women via click of a button.
We hope to allocate more time for family and friends this year. Also, take more breaks to improve our mental health and well-being. We’ve just started our journey and aspire to achieve new heights this year. Let’s hope for the best in 2022.🙏🏽
❤️Love you all! ❤️
